Obama on Dateline
I love him. Intelligent. Poised. Kind. Humble. So well spoken. I will miss him.

Obama on Dateline
He's the epitome of class and integrity. I feel overwhelmingly sad knowing he's only going to be our president for 6 more days. How is this real life?

Re: Obama on Dateline
I just said the other day how I would totally be friends with him and Michelle. They seem really cool & funny and their kids seem sweet and raised nicely. They can probably play a mean game of cards against humanity hahaha

Re: Obama on Dateline
Ive never been so sad in my lifetime to see a President leave office. Im a obvious liberal, but I didnt hate the Bushes, and I think Clinton aside from the Monica thing, was a great President, but still wasnt sad to see him go. Ive actually shed tears over them leaving the White House. I am sad to see them go, and even more so bc of what lies ahead. When Gore lost, I wasnt sad, I was OK with Bush, even though its not what I wanted. THe difference is, despite our different views on issues, I still respected the incoming President. I was confident in their ability to lead and hold the position. I didnt HATE them as a human being. I hate Trump as a human being, not even just as President. That makes this all that much sadder. I wasnt sad for what lied ahead. I am proud to say, still, that I voted for him twice.

Re: Obama on Dateline
I am sad to see them go as well, they brought such class and grace to the White House. What a sad state of affairs that we're going from them to rich trash with NO class or poise. The White House is going to be a complete circus of $hit.

Oh man. A huge eye opener. Well worth watching if you can find it on demand..
This is what I posted on FB about it last night.
When the top companies in the fast food industry made a combined profit of 6.6 billion dollars and 52% of their employees receive some form of public assistance. Something is seriously wrong. So many people scream about Wal-Mart and how they won't shop there because of the poor wages and how they treat their employees. Well I hope you all remember that next time you pick up that happy meal, whopper, taco, chicken sandwich at the drive thru. They're all guilty of it and it disgusting and pretty damn depressing. And this is only one story they are covering.
A man working full time who needs to sell his plasma in order to buy his young daughter a bathing suit and cake for her birthday is heartbreaking And guess where he works. Yup...fast food.

I cried too. That fire fighter working 3 jobs and only sleeping in his own bed 3 nights a month. Now that is a disgrace!

Sadly, this isn't just fast food. I have a family member who works in a franchised daycare. She makes like $9.50 an hour. Not even close to a living wage. She takes care of infants all day long, and it's not an easy job. She relies on food stamps, childcare subsidies for her two kids for aftercare, and medical assistance to try to make ends meet.
