Disney Magic Cruise - reviews

We just got back over the weekend from taking the Disney Magic cruise. It was a repositioning cruise that started in NY Saturday and ended in Puerto Rico.
All I can say is AMAZING!!
The service and staff were top notch. Shows they had were unbelievable and like watching Broadway. So much talent!!

Sad to be home and back to reality. The kids club was great and we went with another family so got to have fun adult time as well.

So ready to book again!! Chat Icon

awesome!! we were on the Magic in January! LOVED it, too!!! we had bad weather most of the time--- but still had an amazing time! the staff did such an awesome job adding extra inside activities and stuff. and we LOVED the Tangled show!!! Thats one of the things we love about DCL-- you can take your kids to the shows at night, they're all really family friendly!
We ended up booking a "placeholder" cruise onboard- you save 10% on the next cruise. So we just put that deposit toward a cruise next november on the Fantasy Chat Icon
glad you had fun!!

Disney Magic Cruise - reviews

We are going on the Magic in March!!!

I have a question, we're doing a short 4 night cruise. They mentioned optional formal night - does that mean we don't have to dress for dinner? I know we can eat dinner elsewhere on the ship but, I wanted to confirm - getting my kids to dress up is painful (and to them dressing up is just wearing a polo shirt).

We have been on three Disney Cruises, and honestly no one really dresses up on those optional nights. Khaki shorts and sundresses is pretty much what we've seen!

My son wears khaki shorts and polos to dinner each night...no one bats an eye!

P.S., on a 4 night cruise, the buffet on the top deck is only open on the 2nd and 3rd nights. Not on the first or last. So you have to eat in the main dining room, or get room service/snacks from other places.

we've been on 2 disney cruises- both the shorter 4 nights ones. and you definitely don't have to get all dressed up on the formal night. some people do, bc they like getting family pictures of them all dressed up or whatever... but most people just wore what they usually wore to dinner (nicer clothes like a sundress or polo or whatever...) you don't have to do a full suit or anything Chat Icon HAVE FUN!!!!! we have our third DCL cruise booked for next november, and i'm counting down!!

Definitely don't need to dress up. Last thing DH would want to do is wear a suit or tux on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. I wear a sundress. DH wears a polo.
