Disney Magic cruise - questions
It's been a while since we've been on a cruise. We vacation a lot, but last time we were on a cruise before we were married. LOL
Anyway, any ideas how to pack? Boys are 7 and 5. Do they need dressy clothes for some nights? Bathingsuits mostly during the day and shorts? Does it get cold at night?
Sorry, normally I'm good at this vacation stuff.
Also, we're going with friends and one will be turning 40 soon so DH and I wanted to do a little surprise for him. Can we have a bottle in their room when we arrive? ALso, they have certain times you can arrive and our friends got hte time a half hour before us, but we're arriving together on the ship. How does that work? THanks!

Disney Magic cruise - questions
so fun!! DS is 5, and we've been on 2 DCL cruises with him-- he loves them! make sure you send them to the kids club at least one night! DS is SUCH a mama's boy, but loved the kid's club! and we loved the break!! HAHAHA Anyway-- i would say bathing suit and shorts/ tee shirts during the day is good-- depends on what excursions you want to do, but that should be good. and yeah, i always pack some "nicer" stuff for dinner at night, especially if you're planning to go to the main dining room. not super dressy, but like polos and khakis kind of thing. AND PIRATE STUFF for pirate night!!! they'll give you a bandana, but your boys will probably want a pirate hat or pirate shirt or something, too I'm sure you could send your friend something--- pretty sure on the DCL site, theres a site for in-room gifts.... i wouldn't worry too much about the half hour difference in arrival time, i think that should be fine... its not a huge difference... HAVE FUN!!!

Thank you!! We can't wait. First Disney cruise and I hear great things about it. We definitely plan on sending the kids to the kids club. They have 2 girls the same age and they're all best friends and get along (for the most part... LOL!, but figured they'll love the kids club).
Pirate stuff! Good to know. Figured khakis and polo's are good for them and I'll pack a couple of sundresses too. We have the late dinner seating. I like the idea of not having to rush back for dinner and also figured the kids can eat at the kids club if they are starving. Sorry, one more question. The kids are two 7 year olds, my DS is 5 and their DD is 4. Would the 4 year old be allowed to be with all the kids? Thanks again!

Yes, your kids can all go in the Club or Lab together!! Their kids clubs are AWESOME!! It's not divided by ages once you go in. There are activities that are planned that appeal to all, or they can just free play.
I'm so jealous! We watched her on the live web cam in NYC yesterday afternoon. So neat!
You can order a birthday package on the website. Look under gifts or something like that. I'm not sure exactly what you can get, but I know there are options. I also believe you have to order within 3 days of departure.
There is a formal night on the longer cruises, but it's optional. We wear sundresses, guys wear khakis and polos for dinner. Nothing overly dressy.
It doesn't get cold at night this time of year. Still hot and muggy!!! It's a little chilly in the shows, restaurants, etc. sometimes so bring light sweaters.
