Snowtubing ... how to dress?
I haven't been skiing / snowtubing on 10+ years. DH and I plan on taking the kids this winter. How many layers? Do I need a wool sweater or are the synthetics better?

Re: Snowtubing ... how to dress?
Look for "base layers" at a ski store, d i c k's, REI etc but if you have a good pair of snow pants, snow gloves, and a waterproof jacket with a snowskirt (which prevents snow from getting up from underneath the jacket--this is a nice feature for tubing), wool is fine. Long thick wool or synthetic socks, for sure!

Definitely thermals and then fleece, then your coat. BJ's has a good selection of winter gear. Also Marshall's has some nice Wigman wool socks made for winter sports. It gets cold zooming down the hills. We love snowtubing!
