IS $55.00 a lot of money to spend on 40 holiday photo cards that are folded with 5 pics? Is it a waste. I have always had a thing for holiday cards and like to have fun since we have kids and added a new dog to the family. It is on card stock paper that is 5x7. I went through shutterfly.

Re: Photo Cards

I splurge on Holiday cards.
I don't have a huge list so I always go for the higher end ones. Heavy card stock, ALWAYS a folded card (because I like to write inside) etc.

To me, if you like it and it makes you happy, it's a drop in the bucket. It's $55, it's not $500. I say go for it

If I had to order 100 cards I'd feel differently I'm sure.

OK, now I don't feel like the only one who splurges on holiday cards. Even before the whole photo card thing and before I had kids I liked to buy nice Hallmark or quality cards ... one year I got Papryus on sale ...lol!

Once the kids get older I won't be able to do it anymore. So I might as well live in moment! Chat Icon

Um, I spent $100 for 50 foil cards with colored envelopes from tiny prints AND they were 40% off. So, no.

I think that's right along what the folded cards cost.
I do the plain one sheet... to keep cost down.
BUT I love getting and sending photo cards.
People spend much more than $55 to get pictures to put into those cards... so not ludicrously $.
Enjoy!

For me no but I also spend a rediculous amount on photos for the holidays.

It's not bad since folded cards are more $$.

If you are interested in looking into seeing if you can find a less expensive option, check out Snapfish. I have been using them the past few years since I've found their prices to be better than Shutterfly.

I spent about the same for 50 cards but just so you know, Zazzle is having a big sale on holiday cards that ends tomorrow.

I have usually spent that much through shutterfly. But, this year I was browsing on Groupon and found 50 cards for $14 through Staples. And it's a nicer card than the one I was going to order from shutterfly.
