cut inside mouth
DS (2.5 yo) fell Friday night and cut inside his cheek. The bleeding stopped but he is still swollen.
Saturday afternoon poor kid came down with a stomach bug (vomiting, fever, chills). Yesterday he still had a fever and was not himself...has not eaten much of anything all weekend due to a combination of stomach bug and complaining his mouth hurts.
I sent him to daycare this morning and got a call that he is whining and saying he wants to go home bc his mouth hurts (I am sure he is still low energy from lack of food). He has no fever or anything, nor is he complaining of a stomach ache today.
Do I take him to the ped? The dentist? or just wait it out?
I have been giving pedialyte but he is not a fan of it so he takes very little.
Anything that can be done for a cut inside of the mouth? I thought it just needs time, but now I wonder if he should get checked out

I would take him to ped. The cut will heal and there's. it much you can do. I would think he still is feeling bad from the bug if he still had a fever yesterday.
