DS's daycare closing
Just really a pity post. DS's daycare is closing. DS#1 went there from 2 1/2- 6 and DS #2 has been there since he was 3 months. Due to - I think - purely financial reasons, they are closing. I have loved *almost* everything about the place and DS loves his teachers and the director and everyone. Every day he has to find the director to give her a hug goodbye before we can leave. I feel like we are losing a part of our family. And now we have to find a new place which scares me. For me and DS. He's a happy, friendly guy, but it'll be all new to him. And I guess the price we were paying - and maybe this was part of the problem - was quite a bit less than anything we are seeing in comparable places. And the location was perfect and I really felt like the teachers love and care about all the children. I'm just so sad - and stressed. If you got this far, thanks for indulging me.

Re: DS's daycare closing
I feel your pain
The same thing happened to us when DC1 was 2 yrs old and I was 8 months pregnant with DC2.
In the end it DID work out for the best and the daycare we ended up at is wonderful and even more like family than the previous place. Both of my kids are thriving so it was a blessing in disguise! But at the time is really sucked and I lost sleep over it, so I get it.
I hope you are able to find somewhere new that you love just as much

Re: DS's daycare closing
Thank you so much! I hope that happens. I cried with the director when I picked DS up today.
