Daycare snow closing
I feel like daycares should have to give more notice about a snow closing. It's pretty likely that DS's daycare will close tomorrow, but I would appreciate as much notice as possible. Especially for parents who can't take off and need other arrangements for childcare.

I just got a txt message from mine that they are closed. And im totally not being snarky here, but they have been talking about this storm for days. So its not like we didnt know it was going to snow bad.

We got a notice saying they will make the announcement at 5 am tomorrow morning.
I am going to assume they are going to close and plan my day accordingly. If they stay open, even better!

but it hasn't even started snowing .........I'm just prepping myself for it to be closed and to have to take a vaca day - If otherwise, great -

As of 4pm, my daycare is still open and "not likely" to close. So they say.... I have off so I'm keeping DS home but not everyone has that luxury!!! They SHOULD call it sooner!

Mine sent an email saying they'll send an email if they decide to close.
It would be nice if I knew right here and now, but the snow hasn't started yet so they can't make the call.

Our director took asked all of the parents today at dropoff if they anticipated bringning their kids tomorrow. Only 2 parents said yes, but that they would be able to make other arrangements if they had to. So they posted a closing at 11 this morning- but this is CT and they are forecasting up to 2 feet by 2:00 tomorrow afternoon.

DD's nursery school does that also. We follow the schedule of the school district it is located in.
