Refereeing?
Does anyone here (or your DH) do side work as a referee? DH is looking into this for basketball. He just read the requirements to me (8 week class, test, more training) and it kind of seems like a bit of a time suck.
Is it worth it? I'd hate for him to do all this and then not get any games because others have been doing it forever- he'd obviously be a newbie. Does anyone know how it works?

My BF does for baseball/softball (umpiring)
It was a class and like $50 or $75
They make $50 a game
