Any recommendations for a bakery that makes good custom cakes or affordable cupcakes? The christening is in the franklin square area, so I would like to be close by so I can pick up the cake that day.
Thanks!

You will be right between two great bakeries...Sapienza is a little west on Hempstead Tpke in Elmont, and Riesterers is a few miles east on Hempstead Ave. in West Hempstead. Can't go wrong with either!

I'd check out Sapienza in Elmont and Buttercooky in Floral Park.

Agree with Buttercookery!! Also try Tulip Bakery but I like Buttercooky better.
