Sesame Place Questions???
We are going to Sesame Place next month for the first time with my 2yr old DS. I was wondering if the character breakfast/lunch is worth it and is one better than the other. Also, I am considering buying the fast pass since we are going on a Saturday and would like to avoid just waiting in lines.
Anybody have any experience with either?
TIA

Sesame Place Questions???
I have never done the fast pass and never really found it to be that crowded that I have wished I had done it. I do recommend the character meal is worth it. I have done both and think it comes down to personal preference in terms of which food you would enjoy better and what benefit you are looking for... Breakfast gets you into the park a tad earlier instead of waiting at the gate for it to open. Lunch gives you a good way to settle and calm in the heat of the day and not have to battle cafeteria type lines and looking for a table.

Sesame Place Questions???
We've done the breakfast and enjoyed it. Nice to see all the characters and get pictures out of the way plus getting into the park early is great. We always pack a lunch and go out to the picnic area to eat and take a long break and give the kids naps. Then we're recharged and make it all the way to the closing parade.

I would definitely recommend the character breakfast. My DS was able to meet all of the characters that way and plus you get into the park a little bit earlier than everyone else.

we did breakfast with elmo both times we went to DS could meet them easier and to get in earlier. I think it is worth it. Be warned, the food is pretty bad in the park!

Go for the breakfast. You get to open the park afterwards.
The food sucks but the coffee, thankfully, was strong lol.

There are tons of chain restaurants within 1 minute of sesame place. You really can have your pick. We never did a character breakfast because you can see all the characters throughout the day at the park and can take pics with them.

All of the characters should be there. It's worth it. My kids have no patience to wait on line to see the characters. I've always done the lunch. It's a nice break in the middle of the day.

The character meal is a lot of fun. The times we went, Elmo stays in one place and you line up to meet him and take a picture. Maybe he he did a dance or two, but mostly stayed in place. Four other characters walk around to tables to meet you and there are occasional dances you can get up and join. I recall one meal with Bert, Ernie, Cookie, and Telly. I think another time it was someone other than Telly. We didn't try the fast pass.

Re: Sesame Place Questions???
What time is the character breakfast? For people that did it, did you drive that day, do breakfast, and then spend the day? I'm trying to figure out logistics but there's no way we will be able to drive same day and do it. Trying to plan on going Saturday and staying overnight.

Re: Sesame Place Questions???
We're going in August and are doing the breakfast. I think it's around 8:30am (check the website). We're driving in the day before (stopping at Please Touch Me on the way down). So we'll already be in town when we go to the breakfast. It would be impossible to drive in the same day since you'd have to leave at like 3am or something crazy.
Why don't you do the b'fast on Sunday?

Yeah, that's a good idea. Thanks.
So are you doing the park after breakfast or two days at Sesame?

We've gone 3 or 4 times and always do a day trip. The first time we went we probably left at 6am and did the breakfast. Since then we've skipped the breakfast and just get there by opening. We take a long break midday for lunch and then go back in until closing and eat dinner during the parade before heading home. It's a long day but fun.

We've never been but we are going the week before you. We're driving down Friday afternoon then we'll hang out in the hotel pool, have dinner. Then we're going to do the character breakfast in Saturday. We'll head home Saturday night.

Re: Sesame Place Questions???
We are season pass holders (we are less than an hour away from Sesame). We've never done breakfast, but we've done the Dine with Elmo and Friends lunch countless times (we did dinner once and will never do it again; it was awful). It's a great way to really interact with the characters. Each character comes around to your table. Midway through, the characters put on a little show and then all the kids can go dance with the characters. It's a great way to interact and get photos without standing on the ridiculous lines in the park.

Breakfast is at 8:45am and they ask you to arrive 15 minutes early. I just checked our tickets.
To the OP, we're doing Please Touch Me on the drive down, 2 days of Sesame Place (b'fast on the first day only), and Crayola on the way home.

Sesame Place Questions???
I never expected my kids to freak out, but at two years old, they did! We did a dine with Elmo lunch. As soon as the music started they screamed and cried their brains out and they literally jumped out of their high chairs, climbed across the table to us and clung to us screaming for dear life. DH and I were mortified... Wth? They had met characters in costumes at parties before with no problem. I think the loud music and close quarters were too much for them, although the cafe is huuuuge. I'm not saying this will happen to you, just maybe something to think about. We're not shy/meek, and we can't believe how they freaked. The stupid count.... Lol

The count is what freaked out mine as well
Overall it was a good time, minus the character breakfast.
