How long to get birth certificate?
Ds is over 3 weeks old and we still haven't received it. But we got his social security card over a week ago. Should I call the hospital, or town? Or give it a little more time? I thought it said in the paperwork that the SS card would take longer, so that's why I'm wondering, since we already got that.

How long to get birth certificate?
Def give it at least 1 more week. For DS1 it took like 3-4 weeks for both (birth c. and ssc). For DS2 it took longer, 5 weeks for birth c. and 6 weeks for ssc.

How long to get birth certificate?
The envelope I got DD's birth certificate in was postmarked 10/9 and she was born 9/1.

It took about a month for us so give it a little more time

It took over a month for us too... LIJ didnt send it to get processed until 2/20. Jillian was born on 1/25!!! I was furuious....

Busier times of the year take longer. 3 weeks isn't that long. Give it time.

For both of my kids I ended up having to call town hall (I gave birth at Winthrop so I had to call Mineola town hall) to get the BC expedited and sent to me for insurance purposes.

our daughter was born 4/18/16 -- we just got ours in the mail yesterday! we got her SS card in the mail last week :)

How long to get birth certificate?
I think it was 3 weeks to a month. I remember it being relatively quick. Baby was born in Manhasset. It depends on the town I think.
