Re: How do you grocery shop?

We tend to eat the same stuff. Mostly chicken, some ground beef and pork. So I Go to BJs once every other month and stock up on those items. When I get home, I separate everything into serving sizes, ziplock and freeze.
Then I go to stop and shop once a month or so and fill my freezer with frozen veggies. They usually have the kind I like cheapest.
We have 2 refrigerators so one holds all the meat and the other holds veggies.
I shop weekly at shoprite for milk, bread, eggs and produce. I also buy any canned stuff, rice, etc too - best price wise.
I hit target once or twice a month for cleaning stuff. I work with Sales, coupons and cartwheel to save as much as possible.
This pretty much how I shop. We only eat Chicken/Turkey/Fish at home- which I usually buy at Costco every other month OR a meat store- stock up and freeze in portion sizes.
I do Aldi once a month for staples/pantry items. Traders Joes sometimes too. Stop & Shop or Keyfood every other week or so for fruits/veggies/milk/bread/eggs if needed.
I live in Queens- but practically in the city and I can walk to the local stores for bread/milk/eggs things like that a few times a week. Local fruit/veggie cart or store for that stuff if I don't hit a grocery store.
I do not menu plan, but since I typically have the usual items, it's not such a big deal.
I try to always keep some items that I can whip up if I run out of something or forget to defrost....frozen shrimp, fish sticks, veggie burgers, etc. Trader Joes is great for this stuff.

How do you grocery shop?
I make one weekly trip to Stop n Shop (usually Sundays). I also make a trip to Target for Milk and paper goods and anything else that is on sale and I can get cheaper than the supermarket. If I'm not lazy I buy my produce at a small market as the selection is better and quality is def better. IF I need to go out during the week its for one thing that I forgot etc.

same here, except I food shop a weeknight after the kids go to bed. I plan out my meals for the week with DH and it's based on our work schedules. however, I always have something easy in the freezer for when I don't feel like cooking or not in the mood. I barely have the energy or patience for going once a week, I can't imagine going every other day.

How do you grocery shop?
i do once a week, and I do peapod pick-up through stop and shop. That way, I get to edit my order as I think of things, and I pick them up on Saturday mornings. They are all bagged up and ready to go so I am not wasting any time :)
