Is there a stomach bug going around? (Can you pick up a stomach virus from an outdoor playground?)
I guess there probably always is this time of year...but my 3 yo was vomiting yesterday and I don't know where he could have picked it up. (He's not in daycare).
We had only been to outdoor playgrounds over the weekend (plus my MIL's house).
Can you pick up a stomach virus from an outdoor playground?

Of course you can catch it from an outdoor playground. Everyone is touching the same equipment, then kids put hands in their mouth, eyes, etc.

You can catch it on a playground, from a shopping cart, from a door handle, from anything.
Someone at your MIL's could have been carrying it but not showing symptoms. Some people can have a virus and not be sick from it but give it to others.
And a stomach bug is always going around- even in the summer.

Absolutely. They are SO contagious. We got a note from DD's daycare last week that they were sending kids home vomiting   .

stomach virus just hit my family and my bff's family too last week. I think we picked it up at build a bear when we went together but all 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids) ended up getting sick. it's awful.
