Need advice: Prizes for Baby SHower - Small update - what do you think of??
Ok. For my friends Bridal shower I agev out $10 Starbucks gift cards.
I don't WANT to do the same thing.
So If I get a set of bath and body...spray, lotion, etc etc. Maybe a candle....do you guys think that would be ok too?
Any other advice for gifts for a baby shower prize would be appreciated.
What about this? Its more than I want to spend.
I was going to do 4 prizes. 2 for the match game and 2 for the belly game.
What I might do is do 2 of these towers, and 2 Starbucks cards.....but If Im spending $10 for a SB card, should I just bite the bullet and do 4 towers?

I think I will do either scratch off's and or/GC.
I love the "Attach to Baby ruth" idea.

my favorite was when the gifts were candy. they had an assortment so like the big lindt bag and ghiradelli assortment went first but they had other little kinds of candies in bags and it was yummy.

I'll be honest, I would go with another gift card somewhere. I think those are so much more appreciated and useful. I can't count how many lotions/sprays/candles etc I've gotten over the years and have had to give away or toss because the scent was just not something I would have picked.
But I can say that when I've gone to a shower and they gave away $5 & $10 GCs to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, those bad boys are used immediately. 
I would also consider scratch-offs as an option. Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm so over getting the "token" bath and body stuff at a shower.

Thank you. I don't like the idea, but a friend said "Women go crazy over that stuff"
I do love the idea of a chocolate gift bag. Thanks. This was GREAT ideas.

For a friend's bridal shower, we went to Michael's for those $5 and under bins. We got some cute mason jar mugs and things like that. It was something different and doesn't everything just taste better in a mason jar? Bonus points for the coupons- bring a few helpers and some 40% off one item coupons.

Wine had been my favorite. Throw in a box of chocolate as a choice for anyone who doesn't drink or any kids attending.

The bath and body stuff, candles etc would be last on my list - those are things I don't ever really use. I think the edible gifts (chocolate!), GCs and scratch offs would be much more well received

I think fun little token gifts are fine - I don't think you need to spend $10 for each prize. A small box of nice chocolate is more than sufficient, or $5 worth of scratch-offs.
When I go to a shower I personally like more winners, smaller prize. Keeps everyone in the events. Especially for things like gift bingo. I hate when it's over after 3 people win - the whole point is to keep playing so,people actually watch the gifts being opened!

I don't think the prizes have to be that $$. Personally, I would love a roll of lifesavers vs a little candle or something that may go to waste!

honestly I would just do all gift cards...I would be so excited to win that lol even if they're not a coffee drinker, starbucks has so much yummy stuff, especially around the holidays
eta: maybe you could attach them to a baby ruth candy bar...that makes it a little different from her bridal shower and goes with the baby theme.

I like scratch offs. People like to win they really don't care what the prize is. I wouldn't spend more than $5 on a prize.
