Halloween events ON Halloween?

Has anyone seen any super fun looking things ON Halloween in Suffolk? (I don't consider any mall trick or treating super fun )

I was also trying to find things to do on Halloween. Most events are the weekend before (this weekend). I was hoping there would be something fun on the actual day. From my internet searching this is all I have found in Suffolk so far:


Halloween Boat Burning
Long Island Maritime Museum

Every year someone donates an old boat to the museum, and it's tradition to burn the vessel in the harbor. At this historical reenactment enjoy entertainment, light refreshments, and a raffle drawing.

The Stony Brook Center is hosting a Halloween Festival, featuring Trick-or-Treating at local merchants. The event will also feature a scarecrow competition and games.

Riverhead does a whole weekend long festivities in honor of Edgar Allen Poe. Might be fun! Quogue Wildlife does the cutest Enchanted Trail, we're going this Sunday, but it is next Saturday as well. SYS (Southampton) is doing a trunk or treat.
