Uppa Baby Cruz question

I'm debating between the Cruz and the Vista. I'd rather not spend the extra money for the Vista, especially because I don't seen the bassinet as a necessity, but I'm concerned about the wheels and ridability (is that a word?) of the Cruz. My SS plays baseball and my dd plays softball so I am at the fields a lot. I expect I will be pushing the stroller across the grass and uneven ground frequently. Is the cruz going to be enough? I know the 2015 has bigger wheels but I'm afraid it will be two hard too push and too bumpy for my baby. On the other hand, the price tag on the vista is so much bigger and we are buying most ourselves and Im not having a shower (as far as I know).

The wheels are fine. If you don't plan on having another baby then stick with the Cruz. The vista you can add a second seat and comes with the bassinet, which most people don't use anyway. They just click in the car seat when they're that young.

I love the UBV. It's great. The baskey is huge, which is great....How about the City Select? I think that has nice big wheels and a nice size basket and is cheaper than the UBV. Also, the Britax Affinity has AMAZING ridability. We won that stroller and it's great. It has huge air tires and to me rides like a high end jogger. Only con is the basket isn't as big as the UBV.

I'm not sure about the city select. Everytime I compare the UBV to it, UBV wins, but not sure I considered it in comparison to the UBC. I'll have to look into the Britax Affinity as I haven't researched that yet...although introducing more options is never a good thing for me!

Sure, also the sun shade kind of stinks on the Britax. :/ I bought my UBV in the BBB floor model clearance section. It was in perfect condition and I was able to use a 20% off. I think I paid $300 for it after all the discounts. You can also find it all over Craigslist if you don't mind a preowned stroller.

Uppa Baby Cruz question

Yup we went last Fall. Everyone with the ultimate ticket 'won' the Affinity Stroller and Britax B Safe 35 car seat. It was the mystery "Bingo" prize. I know the ultimate usually gets a better bingo prize, but I am not sure if a travel system is the norm or if it was just a lucky year.

For us, it was definitely worth it. The ticket was a little pricey (and I think has since risen), but the stated giveaways for the ultimate ticket more than paid for the costs..Last year it was a 4MOMS Breeze Pack and Play, Lillebaby carrier, a gift bag which was filled with so much stuff (diapers, wipes, wipe warmer, onezies, swaddles, bottles, samples, coupons, food, snacks, I can't even remember what else but i'd say 90% of it was useful and not junk), and then a surprise "bingo" prize (which is randomly given to you when you leave - I saw some people walk out with strollers, diaper genies, baby carriers, high chairs, etc). Again, I want to say I didn't see anyone walk out with something junky.

I think it's worth it if you need/want the stated giveaways. Plus it is a lot of fun. But if you don't need or want what they are giving away I would probably buy whatever ticket gets you the bingo prize and a gift bag.

One tip: if you go to the seminars (each seminar raffles 5-6 big items) get on line early because they fill up and they only allow so many people in. You kind have to go and get right back on line for the next one.

I'd bring your DH or a friend. There is a lot to carry!! And that way you get double the stuff from the vendors and double the chance of winning any vendor raffles.

I would go with give Cruz if you're not having another LO. I never had another stroller so I can't compare ride ability to others, but the Cruz seems pretty smooth.

I love love love my Uppa Baby Cruz. It works fine on the grass. If the terrain gets a little rough you can lock the front wheels and I find that helps. I did not think the Vista was worth it for us. I used a Chicco infant seat with it in the beginning and even put DS right into the regular seat reclined for walks when he was 3 weeks. I use it daily and it's great. Huge basket underneath. To be honest I didn't check out too many other strollers. It pushes like a dream, turns on a dime. I can push it with one hand and one my labrador with the other. It does take up a lot of room in the car. That's probably the only negative. But I would guess any big stroller would.

I might be in the minority but I absolutely loved the bassinet attachment that the Vista came with. I, too, thought prior to having my DD that it was stupid and I'd never use it but I used it religiously for about the first 3 months. I think how much use you'll get out of the bassinet is largely dependent on the time of year that infant is born. DD was early May so we took so many walks and she was too small for an actual stroller, but I didn't want her to always be squished into the car seat that clicks into the stroller frame (we have the Uppa Baby Mesa). If she was a winter baby, I don't think I would have used it nearly as much. We also traveled with her 1 or 2 times when she was an infant and she slept in the bassinet attachment during the night -- I just put it on the floor next to where I was sleeping.
