What to do for a neighbor with cancer
I just found out that one of my neighbor’s cancer came back. They were very good to us the past year since we moved in.
I’m 9 mo preggo so I’m barely cooking for myself and DH but I would like to do something for them. Is a gift certificate for a pizzeria sufficient? Any other ideas?

I think what ever you want to do to brighten someone else's day would be welcome. A gift card for pizza with a card would be lovely. I know for my friend whose son had cancer all he could really eat was ice cream for a long while.

Re: What to do for a neighbor with cancer
Maybe a gift certificate to a take-out place or somewhere that delivers?
My father-in-law has cancer and his neighbors have been amazing. But so many people would bring food in the beginning and it seemed to come all at once and so much would be wasted.
Some of the things they have done: One brings him homemade oatmeal all the time and fresh fruit. One pops over and offers to walk the dog all the time. Two families had their kids draw homemade cards and he really got a kick out of that. And the best is the neighbor that repeatedly offers to drive him to treatments or doc appts. We've had to take her up on it twice and it's been a life-saver! But even the neighbors just calling once in a while to see how he's doing has really meant a lot to him.
