Hershey - in the rain?
looking at the forecast for Hershey, PA for next week and it looks like it's going to rain the days we want to go...bummer. I have til Monday to cancel the hotel. what do I do? cancel? I am sure it's no fun in the rain..Ugh....

Don't cancel.
Because every time we go to Dutch it is forecast to rain./
And sometimes it does.
But generally it's overcast, and maybe a shower or sprinkle and then fine.
The last 2 years we went the forecast was awful but it was great. Cloudy, yes but the place was not crowded and it maybe sprinkled a bit here and there and that was it.
Then in the afternoon the sun was out.
I feel like the weather in that area is ALWAYS like that.
Plus forecasting that far out is only a guess. Truly. I have read articles by meteorologists who admit they can't forecast more than a few days out but people want 5 and 10 day forecasts so they basically make stuff up and then tweak it as it gets closer.

Hershey - in the rain?
What weather are you looking at? I just looked at Hershey since we are going next week also, and it says sunny and HOT, every single day. CHANCE of storms in the PM on some days since it's going to be so hot and humid. But nothing says definite rain, at least the site I'm looking at.

They are notorious for that. I don't even look at them anymore.
Again, they can't forecast that far out so they will always put a chance of rain to cover themselves.

Hershey - in the rain?
I use Accuweather. But I just looked at weather, and it definitely doesn't say rain all day. It says PM showers which is what the weather always says when it's hot and muggy out ;)

Yikes! Good luck!! Lots of water, and maybe bring one of those personal cooling fans that are battery operated and on a cord!

I went to Hershey a day they were calling for rain. It actually did not rain and the crowds were a lot less because I think the forecast scared people away. Hope you get lucky.

So we decided to not cancel but Thurs looks like it will be rain. What are some indoor activities that we can do besides Chocolate World? Want to have a plan in place just in case it's a wash out. Thanks!

Turkey Hill experience is a great indoor activity to do. It isn't that far from Hershey at all

Hershey - in the rain?
We went to see Thomas a few years ago and it POURED!. We didn't get to go to Dutch Wonderland as a result. We went to Chocolate World and took a bus tour around Hershey and learned about Milton Hershey and the town etc. It was fun.

I'm obviously too late, but hopefully the day cleared up for you. We left Hershey this morning, and it looked like it might have been clearing up. The Hershey Story Museum is neat and indoors.
We spent 2 days in the park, in the 95 degree heat, it was BRUTAL. Worse than Disney IMO! Never again!
