camp counselor gift???
Am I supposed to get a gift for DSs summer camp counselors? They are all mostly teens/ young adults who also work in his after-school program.
there would be 5 of them, plus 2 life guards.
what would you suggest I get? don't want to spend too much.
there are also 3 bus drivers (they take the bus eahc day between their two locations, and go on day trips at least once a week) and 3 administrators. do i need to get gift for them as well?

Re: camp counselor gift???
The summer leading into my senior year of high school, I was a camp counselor. It was fun being with the kids and my friends, but it was also a LOT of work. I got paid close to nothing at all (which is why I never went back for summer #2. lol) and relied almost solely on tips. Some parents were very generous, and I appreciated that so much at the end of the summer. Some parents didn't tip at all. That wasn't cool. All this to say - I don't think a gift is necessary, but a tip definitely is. Whatever you can give.
Although at my camp, there was only 1 counselor per group, then there were lifeguards and leaders for each activity. The lifeguards and activity leaders got paid a lot more than the counselors so tips weren't expected for them as they were for the main counselor to your child's group. I'm not sure how yours works. You could ask the director of the camp or other moms who have maybe brought their kids there in years prior.
