Is this a terrible gift for a 1st birthday?

My good friend's daughter's 1st birthday party is this weekend. Theme is Sofia the First. I bought this Sofia the First vanity table. Now I am having second thoughts as it is not age appropriate. She also has a 5yo son and has tons and tons of unisex baby/toddler toys already.

I wanted to get something personalized but did not have enough time.

Should I return this and get something else?

ETA The friends recently moved into a huge brand new house and have lots of space for toys. They also have an entire room dedicated to unopened gifts. Friend had posted a Christmas picture and the girl was surrounded by a wall of baby toys so I know she does not need more baby stuff. I figured they could add this gift to that room and open it when it is more age appropriate or open it now. I will include gift receipt.

It's a great gift! She will grow into it. Not out of it quickly.

Not at all! I love getting gifts for my DD that she can grow into. It's very cute by the way! I'm sure she'll get a lot of use out of it.

My DD got a second hand vanity table when she was around 18 months, and she loved it when she first got it, and still plays with it now over a year later. I think she will be able to enjoy it for several more years. It seems like a good idea to me, especially if you know they have the space for it and it matches her theme.

Not a terrible gift. Maybe add a set of accessories that are geared toward her age to go with it.
