Work Q.. Working many more hours as a salaried employee

Hi! please private message (if necessary) to me to help me..

Company expects hours extra during two months of the year.

Like, 24 hours at a clip.

few people were asked "time or money" those took time. I am backup for these people, so if (IF) i get an offer for time or money, i feel like i can't take the time option because they did..

i am really upset by this because nobody spoke to me as their manager. and i want to say **** them, because my ladies , need to take their time by september, which means that i cannot take any time off until they come back to work.

I will be forced to say i want $$ because how the hell is there enough time to backup four weeks for two people by september?
Any advice? i am going back to work tomorrow first time after a week off...

Re: Work Q.. Working many more hours as a salaried employee

It's going to be tough to answer because different companies have different policies.

I know where I work, while I don't think my Sup would outright deny me, my role is very difficult to be out for more than one week at a time.

I'm also expected to secure my own coverage from my team and I've had people say no because they just didn't have the ability to do so without neglecting their own duties and patients.

This is why I took a week in July, a week in August and some more time in Sept.

I also feel everyone is entitled to enjoy some time off if they have the time banked and this goes for you too!!

Speak to your boss ASAP!!
