How can you find out if anyone has ever died in a house?
Call me crazy, I know, but we put an offer on a house and found out that the husband had passed away unexpectedly about 10 years ago and now I cant stop wondering if he passed inside the home. Not that it would prevent us from actually purchasing the home, but I just feel like I need to know. Is there any way to look this up?? I know the owners names and I did some research but there is no info on his death other than the date.

Someone posted a website a few months ago. Did you search on here?

It would be on the death certificate. My mom died at home, and it was noted as such on the death certificate. My MIL died at a nursing home, and that was also noted on the death certificate. No where else does it state where they died.

My house is 170 years old. People have certainly been born and also died in it. Yet, when I first walked through the door I knew it was a happy house and would make a great home for us.

You may end up seeing the death certificate when you close on the house if his name was on the deed. That's what happened to us. We bought a house from a widow and I guess as proof they had to submit her husband's death certificate to complete the closing. Other than looking at the death certificate, I don't think there's any way you could know without asking.
