Fire Island
Hi ladies!
I'll have friends visiting and want to take them to FI...we are late 30s, would like to be a place with night life and nice restaurants but not looking for the 20somethings crowd. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I also know it's a long shot but if anyone knows of a food place to stay-that'd be great too! TIA!

Re: Fire Island
Ocean Beach has the most happening. There are a lot of restaurants and there is a good nightlife there. The age range really varies. We go there frequently and I don't feel old or out of place or annoyed by amateurs with the exception of a couple of the places. There are so many options there though that if it gets annoying, you can just go someplace else.
Surf's Out in Kismet is great food and a good atmosphere. There is also the Inn there but you are limited to those two places.
Ocean Bay Park has a couple of places to go too that are fun.

Yes, The Palm is right in the middle of everything in Ocean Beach. It's nice there.
