2t/3t/4t clothing questions
My DD is almost 3. She has def. grown out of 2t. I was starting to switch out her 2t for 3t clothes and I noticed a lot of 3t items we have are not that much different than 2t. I am worried if I go spend money on a new 3t wardrobe she will quickly grow out of it. Should I go to 4t? Has anyone else noticed 2t and 3t being similar? Is it deceptive- should I stick with 3t anyway? I need help. I dont want to waste money on clothes she will only wear for a couple of months, especially since ive been keeping her in 2t for so long

Re: 2t/3t/4t clothing questions
Depends on the store. DS is 6 years old and for Adidas stuff he still fits in 4T. He is small, but mostly where's 5 or 6 shirts. CP stuff I find runs well and we get a lot of stuff at H&M and they run big. What I would do is put the 2T shirt on top of the 3T and see what the size difference is. If it's much bigger I'll buy it, but if they are close then go to 4T.

Re: 2t/3t/4t clothing questions
my daughter is 2 (28 months)...she was in 2t and i began to purchase 4t for her everyday stuff because I figure it would last longer. But, now that she is potty trained, i find the pants/shorts are too big in the 4t and i need the 3t (or even 2T). but shirts seem ok in either 3 or 4t

My son is the same age and he has been wearing 3T for a while now and some 4T stuff as well depending on the fit. But mostly he is in 3T.

Re: 2t/3t/4t clothing questions
4t is much longer than 3t. The kids start thinning out & just getting longer at those ages... DS can fit into 2t if they were long enough. I end up buying new sizes with season change. I keep some stuff from previous year. With dresses, I buy them a size larger.

Re: 2t/3t/4t clothing questions
My skinny 4 year old can fit into his 3T Tshirts and shorts - but they are all too short lenghtwise - So I had to buy him 4T, and be sure all shorts had adjustable waists to cinch them in as much as they go !

2t/3t/4t clothing questions
Depends on the store i see a small similarity but really not much. Target- my dd still fits in 2t, 3t was huge on her. Gap- 3t tts do not find it similar def difference in last year and this year Carters- 3t tts do not find its that similar big enough that she doesnt fit in a 2t and 4t would be tremendous

I'm having a similar problem. 2t is too small and the 3t stuff is big. My dd will be 3 in the fall.

This is DS as well.
I've learned that Gymboree runs HUGE on him, so when I buy things from there, I usually get two seasons out of it. Carter's runs small on him. So it really does depend on the store.

Re: 2t/3t/4t clothing questions
DD wore a size a full year. 2T when she was 2 3T when she was 3 4T when she was 4.
Now that she is turning 5, she wears girls size 4 or xs Or 5t if they make it (carters and target do)
She can also still fit in most of her 4T stuff from last summer
Yeah, she's pretty tiny!

2t/3t/4t clothing questions
Dd sends to be going through 3t fastest. At 2.5 she was still in 2t pants and then pretty much overnight most were too small. She turned 3 two months ago and 3t doesn't have a lot of room left so I don't think they'll last long. I've been buying some 4t leggings since those fit already and should last. I've also gotten a few 4t tanks from old Navy since they run small imo and her 3t shirts are getting a bit small. Shorts are another story, 3t fits well and she can still wear most of her 2t ones from last year. Dd is 30 pounds of that helps.

2t/3t/4t clothing questions
DD is 3. Some stuff she fits into a 3T and some stuff she wears a 4T. It all depends on where I buy it and what the brand is.

This is what I am going through. She is almost 3, and still wears 2T, but she needs to go up. So 3T fits but I can't see her wearing it all year. She is only 33 inches tall and 27 pounds. She is very tiny so I am surprised how a lot of the 3T clothes end up being so similar to 2T. I looked at 4T yesterday and they are way to big.
