For those that make bottles with powder formula....
What's your "set-up"? Do you heat the water? Use room temperature water? If you use room temperature water, do you keep a container of it on the counter so that it's always at room temp? I'm thinking of buying a Brita pitcher just to keep on the counter to make bottles. Please share what you do!

For those that make bottles with powder formula....
I commented on your other thread but I used to use the dr Browns formula mixing pitcher. In the morning I would mix enough to last me all day. When he was very young I would pop the bottles in a bottle warmer but eventually he drank them right from the fridge.
The formula stays good in the fridge for 24 hours.

For my first, we did exactly that, kept a Brita pitcher on the counter with room temp water that I just refilled everyday. I just found it so much easier, I never had to worry about heating a bottle in the middle of the night or when we went out anywhere. I plan on doing the same with my second as well.

For those that make bottles with powder formula....
I pour the powder into the bottles and store them in the cabinet, already prepped. I then measure out the baby water into a glass pyrex measuring cup and I pour it in. I use Gerber pure water that's non flouridated

We made a bunch in the dr browns pitcher and made bottles for the day. Then we heatedunder hot water tap. If I was out I'd bring a bottle of room temp water and add powder.

Yes dr Browns pitcher. I used room Temperature water because it made mixing easier. I use gerber good start.

For those that make bottles with powder formula....
We didn't want to have to warm up bottles so we started off getting gallon jugs of water and would leave it out of the fridge so when it came time to make a bottle, we just poured the room temp water into the bottle and added the powder. Eventually we just started using the tap and let it run for a minute til it was room tempish and then filled the bottle with the water straight from the tap and then added powder.

For those that make bottles with powder formula....
We have a Brita that stays on the counter. When each of my boys was waking overnight, we used to prefill bottles with water to bring upstairs and then keep a tub of powder in the room. We do this when we go out too- take as many bottles as we need already filled and then formula in a holder that is sectioned! Makes life so much easier to not have to worry about warming!

For those that make bottles with powder formula....
i would buy gallons of purified water from the supermarket and just leave them out. would make a bottle fresh everytime with the room temp water and powder. never wanted my dd to get used to having a warm bottle because when your out how would u heat it? I plan on doing the same with my new baby on the way

For those that make bottles with powder formula....
We don't keep our brita in the fridge anyway, so our water is always room temp. We use the avent bottles, I pour the water & measure it out IN THE BOTTLE, then I add the scoops of powder formula, then shake. I keep it that simple. If it's a pre-nap bottle, sometimes I'll heat it up a little by putting the bottle in a measuring cup full of hot water... but we haven't done that in a while. DS is 90% BF, gets maybe 10% formula these days.

we use room temperature bottled water
I fill the bottles at night with the water and leave them on the counter. I used to use a formula container to separate out the powder formula portions for the day and leave that out too. makes it easy and also quick to grab if we needed to run out of the day
I hated warming bottles and found that both my kids were happy with room temp water. DS is now ok with cold water from the fridge - but it wasnt til he was older that he was ok with it
