newborn - tush red, help
part of the tush crack looks red...
I switched from wipes to wet paper towel cause I heard the ingredients could be too strong.
I tried petroleum.
I tried triple paste cream.
I tried earth mama baby angel bottom balm.
what else can I try?

Use water wipes, no more regular wipes. Let it air dry or fan with a book before putting cream or diaper on. Use triple paste AF. Must be the AF.

My infant boy had rash SO BAD he was bleeding. I couldn't get rid of it. I finally had to go to dermatolgist because it was like a fungus. Good Luck!!

Wash butt often. I did at a point with every diaper change.
Triple paste is the best.

Definitely stay away from baby wipes. I've always used sterile cotton balls with warm water and pat it dry with a tissue and then let it air out for a little bit before applying any ointment.

Use water wipes, let their behind air dry, triple paste. If it gets worse or doesn't go away bring to ped for a Rx. DS gets this and the ped said its like a yeast type of infection.
She also said that if you can while feeding to leave the diaper off and put a cotton towel under his butt. She said air is the best thing.

I used to use Bounty select-a-size, but I felt they were too rough for DD2. Now I use water wipes or sensitive wipes. If it's just a bit red, it might be from rough wipes or wiping too much, or from not catching a poo right away. I would only use wipes when there is a poop and put a little vaseline on to protect the spot.

If you want to be lazy (like me) you can buy water wipes on Amazon. They're called water wipes. I love them. I use them to clean shoes, hand bags, even the leather in my car! Oh and my Dcs rear too. She couldn't tolerate baby wipes. Even natural ones. Anytime she had a bad rash I used California baby cream Bc it is thick and white and has zinc. Whenever she didn't have a rash I used earth mama angel baby.

Sometimes I put a little baby powder with cornstarch instead of ointment. Sometimes it just needs to dry a little and the powder helps absorbs the moisture
