2 parties same day

My 3 year old was invited to 2 parties on the same day from his preschool class. One party at 2PM and one at 4PM. The first is a friend of his that he loves. I know he'd rather go to hers. THe second is a new boy in class that really took a liking to DS from day 1 bc DS was partnered with him and the mom told me all he does is talk about my DS. I've become very friendly with the boy's mom too bc we drop off the kids at the same time so talk a lot. I don't know the other mom as well bc she's a teacher so the father or grandmother drops off. Not that it matters anyway. I just know DS has been in class two years with this girl already and adores her.

What to do? Go to both? Seems like a lot, but I could try. I feel like it's a waste of a Saturday running to 2 two hour parties. Chat Icon

I'd go to both if the parties are reasonably close enough together in location.

I hate choosing between kids.

2 parties same day

I would go to both. Dd was invited to two in the same day. One at 930am and the other at 2. By the time we got home and she went down for her nap we ended up having to wake her for the second party.

Exactly this, plus u don't need to stay for the entire event. The only thing is that whichever party u decide to leave early, ur DS might now want to.

I would do both, if I thought my ds could handle it without a meltdown.

This. Maybe leave the first party about 10 minutes early. Most parents will probably already be packing up their kids at that point anyway.

In a similar situation myself next weekend. Have a 10 am party and then a 12pm party. I felt bad saying no to one so I am taking her to both.

I'd go to both if you can. Even if you have to show up a little late to the second one.

Re: 2 parties same day

Go to both. Your child is friends with both.

We often have 2 parties on the same day. It is usually one for my younger and then another for the older child. DH and I usually split up.

I would do both. And I have done this. And am doing it again this sat. My dd had a blast at both and was super excited she got pizza and cupcakes twice in 1 day LOL

And while It wasn't my ideal day I had a good time seeing my dd have fun and I talked to a few of the parents. So it was nice to spend some time with the adults.
