Diapers/Wipes Program thru Daycare
So we just got a letter home this week letting us know a new optional program will be available starting in May. For $8 per week we can have all diapers and wipes provided for DS while he is at school. It is called the Cuties Cares program and the diapers would be Cuties brand. Starting next week they are doing a free 4 week trial to see how we like the program before we decide to join or not. Just curious if anyone has an experience with this brand of diapers/wipes or if people thought $8 per week is a fair price for this service. I never pay much attention to what I pay for diapers. I buy the big boxes of Pampers Swaddlers from BRU when they are on sale for $8 off per box. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

Just an FYI, in October 14 Cuties brand wipes were recalled.

Diapers/Wipes Program thru Daycare
I wouldn't pay that per week. I pay less than that for all the diapers and wipes I buy per month for both daycare and for home.
I spend $37 on diapers and wipes that last me about 1.5 months. That's way less than $8 a week and it's for home and daycare. But I guess if you spend more it would be worth it. Although I've never heard of the brand.

Thanks for the replies! Anyone else have any thoughts? Does this sound expensive to others as well?

I would go through what you spend per month on Diapers and wipes and see if its worth it for you. Also if you have a brand you prefer then I would just stick w/ bringing my own.

You're paying for the convenience - so you don't have to go buy extra and bring them to dc. If it's worth it to you, then I say go for it. To me, it's not worth it.

Diapers/Wipes Program thru Daycare
I haven't posted here in a very long time but saw this and wanted to help...
I work at a daycare (infant room) and we have the Cuties diaper and wipes program. ($8 per week here in VA). If your concern is quality, I will say that I'm pretty impressed for a generic/unpopular brand. We can't go longer than a 2-hour span without changing a diaper (unless child takes a long nap in which case we change them ASAP upon waking). I have never experienced a leaky diaper and they hold up very well. We use the size best fit for the child (sizes 1-5, then pull up types for potty training 2 yr olds which they have girl and boy styles). Of course blowouts happen but that's not always the diaper's fault. If they start happening frequently we go up a size. No biggie. As for the wipes, first off, when the recall happened all wipes were immediately discarded and they supplemented with another brand. We are back to the Cuties now as the recall has ended. I like the wipes better than Huggies and way better than Parents Choice. We use unscented.
Now, for the cost... I chose not to do the program (I have a 19 month old that goes there) because we don't pay that much for our own home/daycare diapers and wipes. (We use Luvs diapers and Pampers wipes). We figured price per diaper based on how many diapers used per day. As for wipes, we don't go through an entire pack in a week.
This got long, sorry. Quality of product is just fine. It's the cost and convenience if you feel it's worth it or not.
