Time frame from taking steps to walking

Ds just turned 1 last week. He has been taking steps consistently for 2-3 weeks. He takes a few steps and then loses balance and falls to his knees. How long did it take your dc to go from wobbly 1st steps to full blown walking?

So funny because my son took steps - like 3/4 steps at like eleven months old. He would get up, take steps, wobble, fall. Fine. I was thrilled he was doing this rather early.

After a week or so of that he was like, you know what? crawling is easier, safer, and quicker so he went BACK to crawling for another month+ !! I was like omg this kid is so funny.

Then, around 13 months or so he went back to the steps, and slowly, gradually increased and by fourteen months was running all over.

It's funny, he's not a typical daredevil boy -- he is cautious. It made him nervous for sure that he was unsteady on his feet. He did not like the feeling of not being in complete control!

So, yes, it did take a while to get into full blown steps. Now, I can't keep up with him

Every child is different, but my son took his first steps 12/4 and by Christmas he was walking all over the place un-assisted.

He was cruising about a month prior.

Mine was almost immediately. He did not crawl for long an was not a fan. He cruised at 7 months and then crawled and went to walking.

Every child is different. DS cruised for months. Then he was standing and taking a step for a while, before full on walking.

Mine went really fast.
Taking steps at 10 months, full walking across rooms independently at 11 months.

Brielle went right to walking within a week. Hannah would take up to 6 steps then drop and crawl instead for a good month before she preferred walking.

DD1 was a few days shy of 9 months when she took her first steps. It about 3-4 weeks from steps to full-blown walker. DD2 started taking steps at 10 months but didn't really start walking regularly until 2 weeks before her 1st birthday.

My kid was cruising for 3-4 months before he finally let go & from the first time he let go he was walking pretty far distances (across a room)... he never really took single steps. But he was a late walker, didn't do it until 17 months so that may be why.
