Walking Time Frame . . .

When did your little one start to cruise? How long after did they take their first independent steps? How long after that were they full blown walking?

DD Started cruising at just shy of 10 months. within 2 weeks (last week) she started taking a few independent steps without holding on to anything. She spends alot of time cruising around. When we stand her up on the floor she will either just stand there frozen seemingly anxious to move, and then will plop herself down on her butt or if highly motivated will take the independent steps necessary to get where she needs to go. She does this with mostly good balance, but sometimes loses her balance and falls. I am just wondering how long I can expect to wait before she will be walking around regularly, unsupported and without encouragement?

Re: Walking Time Frame . . .

DS just turned 11 months and has been cruising for well over a month, he has been standing on his own for just as long...but he has yet to take independent steps.
