Re: Fresh Off The Boat

I really wanted to love it. Had high hopes, but didn't find myself laughing hysterically like I do with Goldbergs. I'll give it another chance. I do love the parents so hoping it gets better.

Re: Fresh Off The Boat

I usually give shows the benefit of the doubt for the first couple of shows. They're trying to get comfortable with their cast members, their characters, etc. They also have to put a lot of backstory into the first episode so we know why they are doing what they're doing. Later episodes won't have that baggage. It has potential, so I'm going to keep watching it, and hope it gets better, since it's seems like it's going to be a good show. Chat Icon

I feel the same. I really wanted to like it. I felt like they were trying too hard.

I liked it but I think if the wife had more of an accent, she would look more authentic.

Re: Fresh Off The Boat

It was funny, but I don't know if it will hold my interest for long.
Same thing happened with the McCarthys.
Loved it, now eh.

I thought the 2nd episode was better, the show looks like it has great potential! And I hated the Goldbergs... different types of humor IMO.

We watched last night, I have to admit it was really funny. I loved the part where she busted out singing and was like "this is not a duet" haha
