Has anyone else's baby went through this phase?
For the past few days Luka has tried to sit up in his bouncy seat. He can get his shoulders up that it is and gets so frustrated so DH will how his hands and he manages to pull himself all the way up so he is in the sitting position. He as also been cranky and i know it is because he is over tired because he fights to take naps. We went to BRU and I put him in the Bumbo seat their to test it see if he would like it and he didn't look to happy in it and he was kinda huntched over. I am not even sure if he can hold his head up ( I know it sounds silly but I dont know what that looks like). What else could I put him to entertain him?

Have you trried one of the activity gyms where you can alternate between him lying on his back and being on his tummy?

You probably will be able to return it. Dont say anything about the instructions. I got Sydney's gymini on ebay for $10.00 so if you dont mind used you can look on there for the baby einstein one.

I got this one from BRU and I have to tell you DD loves it! I was also running out of options because she was getting bored with the swing, and never really cared for the bouncy seat. This "gym" has a mobile on it and it play music that is crystal clear and she really likes it. We usually do tummy time with it for as long as she will last and then flip her over onto her back and she will lie there and play with "the other baby in the mirror" for a pretty good while. Re: Has anyone else's baby went through this phase?
my DD has been doing the same thing. She tries to sit up in her bouncy seat. I have the windsor graco seat, and that one is more upright, then my other fisher price one. She doesn't try to sit up in the fisher price one, it's more reclined and much more bouncy.
Here is the fisher price one, it's 31.99 at BRu
I have the baby einstein play mat too, She loves it! We do tummy time in there too. It's the only place she'll stay on her tummy for more than 10 secs.
I think our kids are around the same age too. DD will be 3 months old tomorrow.

Have you tried a swing? Katie likes hers a lot. She also loves to sit in the swing or bouncy seat on the deck - she loves being outside. She also loves her mobile. I have a fisher price battery operated mobile and its little birds that fly all around and turn and music plays. She loves it. Sometimes, when she gets really bored, I'll put her in her bouncy seat and put Baby Einstein on, that entertains her and she smiles away at the TV.

I second the swing. Once they start trying to sit up in the bouncy it is the beginning of the end of it unfortunately. I never used the bumbo.

Re: Has anyone else's baby went through this phase?
We also never had the bumbo seat but I have to agree that one she started sitting up in the bouncer time was up for it. It got to the point where she'd try to hang over the sides and it made me nervous!
We did get a little more time out of the swing but by about 3 months we were really trying to use the activity gym and also the tummy time playmat that we got from OneStepAhead.com a lot. We had the fisher price flutterby dreams playmat and it isn't the greatest one, I'd get something different now, but it still did the trick!
He might be getting to the age where he doesn't want to be contained. How old is he now?

Re: Has anyone else's baby went through this phase?
DS will be 4 months in 12 days. He use to like the swing but the toys on the front part he "tries" to grab so he is also trying to sit up and I have it reclined. If I put the seat up one position he huntchs to the side. Michelle (sweetness) our kids are about 4 weeks apart and the bouncy seat we have is the sensory one from Fisher Price. The mobile up top and mirror will keep him busy for little but not much anymore. The Enstein gym mate is what I want now or something similar to that. The one I have now is Fisher Price Kick and Crawl oceans wonder one.

Re: Has anyone else's baby went through this phase?
Since he is just about 4 months I would start putting him in the activity blanket with the boppy behind him. He might be getting close to the age where he wants to sit up on his own. I think Emily did it right before 5 months! Also lay tons of other toys around him on the playmat so he has other things to play with.
