Selena Gomez and Austin Mahone are officially dating, according to Us Weekly.
While the news has been a long time coming, the wonderful twist in this story is that apparently Taylor Swift is the one who set them up.
I am feeling lots of things about this. Firstly, that of course I'd trust Tay Tay to set me up. Of course. However, perhaps Selena shouldn't keep dating boys who have fans who pun themselves with such rabid conviction (re: Austin's Mahomies, Justin's Beliebers).
And yes, I mean boys, not men. Austin is 17 to Selena's 21.They cannot vote together. They cannot sit at a bar together. They also cannot, most importantly, go to adult jail together (unlike some people), so what will they do on dates?!

she is a weirdo. maybe later in life that age difference is absolutely nothing at all. But a 21 year old "woman" and a 17 year old "boy" is a big difference. 4 years means a lot.

Lol yea that's exactly what I meant. Like now at 34, dating a 30yr old no big deal but at 21, a 17yr old boy who isn't even legal to drink.

I dunno, I went on a couple dates with a guy who was 27 when I was 31. He was barely out of frat boy mode.  I'm sure not all were like that but I was done with younger men after that.

ITA too!!! At this young age that age difference is GROSS. I would NEVER have even considered looking at a 17 yr old BOY when I was 21. Eeeewwwww.
