Vacation Cruise with 19 month old
So for my 40th this February DH booked a cruise to the Caribbean for a week on RC Adventure of the Seas. My oldest is 6 and my LO will be 19 months at that time. Here's the question...they have babysitting on board if DH and I want to have some alone time but I'm a little worried about leaving my kids with complete strangers. My in-laws typically watch the boys whenever DH and I go out. They would be willing to go on the cruise with us, which would take care of the babysitting issue, however the literally drive me nuts for a large number of reasons too numerous to go into. I have travelled with them before and wanted to shoot myself. I'm a bit torn here. Have any of you cruised with kids and used the babysitting service? Any suggestions/advice.

Re: Vacation Cruise with 19 month old
going in 1 week on Allure of the seas. Have a 4 yr old and 17 month old. We are going to use the babysitting service provided a few times I think.
i'm excited. So from what we were told they send 2 people to the room to babysit. And they literally just sit there lol
there's also a day care open late but my dd's would never survive that late at night lol
I can let you know how it works out in a few weeks

Re: Vacation Cruise with 19 month old
we went on disney cruise last year. My 6yo (then 5) begged to go to the kids club. And my then 2yo who had never been with a stranger went to the nursery. He didnt love it, but he did fine and DH and I were able to have a nice dinner out.
Having a break made this one of the best vacations for our whole family!!! LOL.
Your kids will be fine. These ships are set up to accommodate the kids, they are trained to entertain then, and comfort them etc.
Go and Enjoy!!!!
