Don't cross Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The media personality, 37, sounded off on her longtime enemy Rosie O'Donnell on Wednesday, July 9, reminding her foes that she clearly does not forgive and forget.
Hasselbeck, who sparred with O'Donnell on The View back in 2007, called in to Fox News' Fox & Friends morning show while she was on vacation this week to discuss O'Donnell's possible return to The View.
"What could ruin a vacation more than to hear news like this?" Hasselbeck said. "I know Rosie very well. We worked quite closely. Talk about not securing the border!"
"Here in comes to The View the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there, coming back with a bunch of control ready to regain a seat at the View table," she continued.
"Not surprising," she added about the expected casting. "I think this has been in the works for a long time."
The news of O'Donnell, 52, possibly making a return to the talk show follows the departures of Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd. Whoopi Goldberg currently remains as the one host of the ABC show. Sources confirmed to Us Weekly that O'Donnell is in "serious talks" to rejoin the show and is "very close to signing."
Hasselbeck added that fellow comic Goldberg, 58, is "the leader" on The View, and would not let O'Donnell's famously loud personality "control her."
"I don't think it would be wise for Rosie O'Donnell to challenge Whoopi Goldberg on anything," she continued. "I really don't."

I can't stand Rosie but Elizabeth is not eve. On the show any more. I heard her tirade. I thought it was a but much. She said hearing that news ruined her vacation, seriously????

I'm sure Elisabeth doesn't really care about Rosie at all. She is much better off where she is now than on the View and she knows it. She is on a talk show and has first hand knowledge of working with Rosie so of course they are going to play it up for ratings. Her producers probably told her to call in and rant about it.

I think Rosie's return to The View would be the last attempt at getting ratings for that clown show!
I like Elisabeth, but don't think she should've even cared about this since she is much better off where she is now! I agree, why does she even care!

The problem is that with the notable exceptions of Lisa Ling, Star, and Meredith, none of the View women were really that smart, so it was just uncomfortable to hear them debate.
I don't care what people's politics are; I just find smart people interesting and entertaining, and those women leave a void--almost all of them.

I'm guessing it's for ratings and her boss at Fox & Friends wants to cash in on the drama during the summer months. Why not get your newscaster's opinion about the current situation on the View's casting?

I liked it when Lisa Ling was on it, I really like her and Meredith. Once Lisa left, I didn't watch much. Once Meredith left, I never watched anymore.

I watched about a minute of it not too long ago...they all just talk over each other, I can't stand it.

i have to agree with this, and i know everyone always loved joy behar and she was my least favorite, i just felt like she used her extremely unfunny comedic one liners to make her point and to me often ended up looking silly
