3 month old and naps
My 3 month old cat naps all day. She falls asleep after each bottle and wakes up 20 minutes later. Nighttime is great. She's sleeping through the night no problem. Is there something I can try to get her to nap or is it just the age?

If she is sleeping great at night I'd be happy with that.
At that age dd was taking 3 naps. Longest one in the morning, another long one in the afternoon and a cat nap late afternoon.

i think it's just the age. my son was a HUGE cat napper at that age. he also STTN so i didn't worry about the naps. he then transitioned to 3 naps a day and now i'm trying to get him to 2 naps (although he sometimes still gets 3).

My son does this too but works himself up into a huge fit at night.

DD was never a great napper (still isn't at 2), but she slept through the night by about 2 months, so I was happy with that.

Re: 3 month old and naps
DD is 4 month tomorrow. She usually does 3 naps a day, but the amount of time she sleeps during the nap varies greatly. Sometimes its 2 hours, sometimes it's 40 minutes. She'll also conk out in car rides. I learned with DD1 that the organized, predictable nap schedule takes a little bit of time. As others said, if night is going well, I wouldn't sweat it. She'll settle into a pattern within the next couple of months.

Re: 3 month old and naps
I think its the age. Mine needed a nap if they were up for 2/3 hrs or so. They cat napped all day for several months. They didn't get on a schedule til about 11/12 mo.

Same here.
He's the best sleeper at night so I'm very happy!

My DS did that at three months. At 4 1/2 months he started longer naps. However, he is 6 months tomorrow and still not sleeping through the night!
