Northen NJ'ers Bergen County Zoo Park
It's FREE till next week May. Some of the exhibits are closed due to the season but we went today and DS got to see lions, llamas, monkeys, bald eagles and some others. Pretty good for free.
Just paid $3 for a train ride and 1.50 for him to ride the carousel. There is also a nice park to have a picnic and pony ride section which I didn't go to.

I used to go there all the time as a kid, love that zoo. I can't wait to take DD there someday.

It is really nice and affordable, especially if you're a resident. I recently found out about it because my DH did lights there.
I'm finally starting to venture more into jersey over the past two yrs. lol a lot of affordable gems!
