Converting bed to full size - discontinued issue

I want to convert my daughters toddler bed into a full size bed (it is her original crib) but I didnt buy the conversion kit so I was looking online for it and every site is saying it is discontinued. The crib is only almost 3 years old. I'm going to the store tomorrow where I bought the crib to see if they can help me. Has anyone run into this issue? Am I out of luck with converting to full size? Would the store have something compatible that would work with her bed?

You might just be able to use a metal bed frame and attach the head and foot boards. It basically take the place of the rails.

What kind of crib do you have? Maybe someone purchased the conversion kit and won't be using it. We purchased ours when we got the set and we won't be using it.

There's a universal kit that you should be able to use. This happened to us and Buy Buy Baby was very helpful. Hopefully the store you purchased the crib from will be able to get something for you.

I used a universal frame kit for DS's bed, since I didn't buy the conversion kit.

Yes, we got the crib set from BRU almost 3 years ago and it was discontinued. A few months ago I called BRU and they said it was instock through the manufacturer but I had to come in and place a special order. It took about 10 weeks to get it.
