Converting to a full-size bed
We want to convert DS crib before #2 arrives. We went looking for mattresses today and put a down payment on a box spring and mattress from sleepys because we wanted to shop around.
I just realized a box spring would probably be too high for him to get up there on his own? What did everyone else do when converting straight to a full?

We did a full (w/box spring) and he has a step stool to help him get in and out. DS was 3 when we converted the crib from a daybed to a full

we also have a traditional box spring/mattress and she has a stool as well.

yes we had a box spring and mattress with a step stool for DSs full sized bed, and have one for DDs twin size bed.

yea, our DS uses the glider (which is next to his bed) to climb up. We have the mattress & box spring.

We have a box spring and regular mattress, and neither DC had a problem getting in and out. DS was about 5 when he got his bed, and DD was about 3 when she started climbing in and out of DS's bed on her own.
