Converting toddler bed to full size.
I have a munire, when I buy the mattress do I need a box spring also? or just the top mattress?

You'll need a box spring. At the bare minimum, you'll need a sheet of plywood under the mattress. The bedframe usually supports only the very edges of the boxspring, or at the most, it has two bars going across. Neither will support a mattress by itself.
A full-height boxspring makes the bed pretty high off the ground, so you should ask about a half-height boxspring when buying a mattress.

Ah, the million dollar question.
Buy a low-profile box spring or a bunkee (sp??) board for the bed.
