Wheezy from Formula? Milk protein question

DD2 developed cold like symptoms around the time we started her on a little formula. After 2 weeks we started to make the connection, more formula, more congestion. She was checked a bunched of times from doc and is always cleared from infection.

The Ped gave us gentleease (she won't drink that now) and while it seemed to help from what I am reading the wheeze is from a protein allergy which would mean a soy based formula would be better (not lactose free) ... I don't want to use soy.

I am nursing her 95% of the time and she doesn't seem to have an issue, but the only dairy I have is the milk in my coffee (usually)

I still want to use a little formula and was thinking of Earth's Best sensitive.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

DD had wheezing, eczema, and major stomach issues from her milk protein allergy. The wheezing could definitely mean an allergy, or in general, milk/dairy makes us all a little more congested. It's so hard to say...

A lot of babies allergic to milk are also allergic to soy, so not sure how much that would help anyways...

There's lots of layers to milk too. We had to keep DD away from whey and casein too, both derived from milk. And you'd be surprised how much milk is in everything. We couldn't find breadcrumbs made w/o milk, and sliced bread was a challenge too! You may be eating more dairy than you think!

I've heard a lot of good things about earths best formula. While I was going through the early diagnosis stage with dd, a friend had some similar issues, and her baby did really well on earths best (didn't have an allergy, it just worked better for him!).

My dd went through a milk protein intolerance. She did not and still does not (20months old) have a milk protein allergy. But she had a very hard time digesting it and she would wheeze as well.
We used alimentum (hypoallegenic) and i had a brand new baby. Even now she drinks almond milk. Shes totally fine with yogurt bread and cheeses anything else with dairy in it. But she cannot drink straight milk. Too much dairy gives her diarrhea and bellly aches.
Maybe try alimentum or a sensitive formula.
