? To those mothers who co-sleep with infant
So I have co slept with my baby every now and again in bed since she was born. She would sleep on my chest. Now she is almost 5months and is getting too big. I've put her in the bed next to me /in the middle of my DH and I but I just never get comfortable. Afraid the pillow will cover her face, we will pull a blanket up and cover her etc. how do you (position) sleep with your infant? She is laying on her back as she is just starting to try and roll over but if she does she will literally be on me and since she isn't great with tummy time this makes me nervous as well. Tia

I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking about putting the pack and play next to the bed. Wish me luck!

? To those mothers who co-sleep with infant
DD is almost 22 months and if I bring her into bed with me she still sleeps on my chest! I can't relax if she's next to me bc I worry about all those things you mentioned. Thankfully, I really only bring her in on the rare occasion that she's sick bc I don't get much sleep that way (and I usually only keep her with me for a half hour or so before I put her back in the crib).

this is out we start out, but she wont stay there for long. she rolls off of me... we sort of end up in a spooning position with her head on my arm.

That's awesome. I wish she would spoon with me. Maybe when she is a bit bigger

Re: ? To those mothers who co-sleep with infant
I slept on my side with my arm up over my head and curved over the baby's space. Baby slept on back or slightly to their side. My other hand was on baby or cradling baby from the other side.
I breastfed and my boob was hanging out much of the night. I nursed laying on my side and switched sides throughout the night by placing baby on a pad and sliding her over on that instead of picking her up.
I've never slept with baby on me, that would make me too nervous that I would drop her. She slept on me for a nap (and I'm awake) but never in bed.

I've tried that and my arms fall asleep or my back is a wreck…I really have to work on this and try and get a 'comfortable' position. That's awesome this works for you.
I'm doing the same. So she's on a pad and then what do you do? Lift yourself up and slide her under you? This is something that could definitely help me assuming i can lift myself up in the middle of the night lol
I have only slept with her on me up until about a week ago so it's natural for me. this other way is making me nervous so I"m up most of the night and a zombie the following day(s). One thing though is that she doesn't move when she is one me and as soon as she starts to wake up so do I.

Re: ? To those mothers who co-sleep with infant
We ended up co-sleeping with DS1 from the beginning. For the first 6 months, he slept in our arms. I propped my arm on the boppy and he slept in the crook of my arm. Once he was moving more, he slept between us.
DS2 didn't start co-sleeping with us until around 12 months. He sleeps between us and has a toddler pillow. He generally winds up curled up next to one of us.

Re: ? To those mothers who co-sleep with infant
We did not cosleep when DS was little, I was too nervous. He would sometimes nap on my chest/belly or on my boob but I was almost always in a sitting position or sleeping without blankets. Occasionally he would sleep in the crook of my arm face up.
As he got older we had times where he would cosleep, and he always slept in the crook of my armpit. Like completely face up or head on my chest body in armpit. I would sleep on my back. It worked well bc he was contained and I couldn't roll onto him.
Now that he is 2.5 if he sleeps or naps with me he sleeps like that or with his own space entirely next to me
