recommend your video monitor
in the market for what will be the 3rd video monitor in less than 3 years (bought each model twice so technically 5th monitor)
i had a summer infant and now Lorex and both broke so i want to go with another model - i am so sick of replacing monitors.
Please recommend a video monitor if you like yours and also how long have you had it (would like something that will last for another couples years)
Has to have add on camera feature and would prefer VOX feature.
Thanks

This! I originally registered for a summer infant monitor and had a few mom friends tell me they break and so I got the Motorola instead and love it

We have the Summer Infant BabyTouch and love it! We have used it for about 2.6 years now, adding camera #2 a few months in when our second baby was born, and haven't had a single issue. Baby#3 will be here in a couple months and we are going to add a 3rd camera when he/she is born. We originally had the Summer Infant BestView and had issues with it and had to replace it twice.

We have the Foscam Baby Monitor and LOVE it!!! After going through TWO Motorola cameras in one week, I ordered this from Amazon and it has been great. The picture is so clear and it picks up on every sound. I highly recommend this item. I have been meaning to write a review to let others know but have not had a chance.

We have the motorola and we LOVE it.
Same for us. We purchased it in December to set-up for our new baby, but in the mean time, we are using it for our DD who is 2 to get used to all the functions.

Lol. I have the Motorola and hate it. We are on our third one and now the unit isn't holding a charge anymore. It's not like we abuse them... But I know people with the Motorola that haven't had a problem.

We have and love the Motorola. We keep the monitor plugged in pretty much all the time though. If you have it unplugged and keep it in video mode, the charge does drain quickly.

Re: recommend your video monitor
Thanks for all the responses!
For those who have a Motorola - does anyone have a model that has a VOX (monitor goes into sleep mode - no video/sound and turns on automatically when sound is detected) or similar feature? I cant seem to find any that do but im not sure if its just not listed on the specs.
And does anyone have a Levana - they seem to have some great monitors/features but wanted real world opinions.

Re: recommend your video monitor
I got an Infant Optics from Amazon last month to replace my Summer. So far I LOVE it. Love that it pans and tilts because my son will be going to a bed soon and I want to be able to see what he's up to when he gets out of bed. After hours of research, reading tons of reviews, this brand seemed to have the least problems and all the reviews were 4 and 5 stars compared to all the other brands which had a range of reviews from 1 star to 5 stars- I knew with my luck I'd be the one that got stuck with the monitor that was getting the one star and had issues lol! Good luck!

I literally called Motorola about an hour ago b/c my monitor broke again. The first one I had for a year and then stopped working. They replaced it but sent and camera that I couldn't see anything. Called hem again and they sent a new camera. Now it doesn't hold signal so it's cons stably beeping that it's out of range which it isn't. And it decides which of the 2 cameras has sound. Last night it was my 10 month olds. 2 nights ago my 3 yr olds.
Well I called to replace again and she's upgrading me to the next model bigger careen and something with the camera I can't remember. I hope this one works better.
I recommended it to anyone who asked but now not so much. They are pretty easy going, customer service wise. So at least that good

We have the Summer Infant Baby Touch. We've been using it for over 2.5 years and it's still great. We have dropped it several times and it still works
