Please recommend a video monitor.
Please recommend a video monitor. I think the storm last Friday fried ours. We had a few circuits blow and some surge protectors got completely toasted (thank goodness we had them, saved the computers and TV).
Since the storm our monitor makes a static chirp every time one of us moves - we are across the house from DD's room. It also makes a buzz whenever a car drives by and never did before. I think it's some kind of interference but we can't seem to make is stop. It wakes me up constantly as DD sleeps on peacefully.
It's time for a new monitor.

Also have the Summer and we love it...do get some static at times...and I've picked up another baby in the area once on my monitor. I live in an area with four infants around DS age so that was bound to happen.

I love this monitor! i also get static once in a awhile and if I unplug the camera, I have picked up another child on the area who has the same monitor. Other than that, I cant live without it. The camera actually broke recently (we dropped it one too many times) and when I called them they replaced it within a week. Their customer service is outstanding!
