Baby Shower Shipped Gifts to the Home?
Hi
I wanted to know what do I do with all the gifts that I rec'd shipped already to my parents home before the Baby Shower. Do I open them before the shower and thank the people at the shower for them? Do I open them after the shower? I know we will not bring them to the actual shower since that is why people shipped them directly to the home.

Baby Shower Shipped Gifts to the Home?
Not sure of the "proper" ettiquette, but I would open them before the shower and thank the people who gave them to you at the shower

i opened them before the shower and sent out the thank you card immediately
if i saw them out the shower and i happened to remember, i thanked them again in person. but honestly with so many people i couldnt keep track of who sent me a gift in advance or not so i was glad the ty card were already sent

I would open them and send a thank you, and if they are at the shower thank them again.
Are they going to the shower? In my case, the people who sent gifts did not attend the shower.

I opened pre-shower and sent thank yous after the shower. For people who sent a gift but still came to the shower I actually printed large pictures of the items and brought them to the shower (in my case people sent large gifts to me directly instead of schlepping them to the shower). I then held up the printed pic and said thank you Aunt Jane for the Swing.
