If you have not been before, I suggest dressing warm and going to Quincy market and from there you can walk along the freedom trail. Make a stop on Newbury Street. Grab dinner or lunch in the North End of Boston - its the Italian neighborhood and there are a TON of great restaurants.

If you like cannolis, and who doesn't, you must go to mikes pastry in the north end
Walk newbury st, Quincy market for lobster rolls

I don't know what bakery it was (forgot to look at the name) but last time I was there we went in one on the north end and got cannolis. Im actually not a huge cannoli fan. I don't like anise flavor and I don't like the cream having the chocolate chips on it. But the ones I got there were the best ones I have ever eaten in my life. They were fresh baked and fresh filled. SO good!

Thanks Everyone :)
Yes we will definitely be bundling up! I haven't been there since I was little, so I'm excited just to walk around.

Re: One Day in Boston
I think many people are interested in visiting the universities there. You may want to visit Harvard and/or MIT. As others have mentioned, Quincy Market is a big tourist destination. Prudential Center/Newbury St area is nice. I used to enjoy getting drinks at Top of the Hub. Pru Center usually does wonderful holiday decorations.

Best, can oils EVER. They are huge and delicious. A very good old fashion kinda bakery. Amazing! They open early and close early. Not to busy earlier during the day. I lived for the past 2 yrs, just moved in July back to CT and miss it. Haha.
