pulling front tooth
So just got back from the dentist with DD who is 4 1/2 years old - She has a bump on her gum and to find out its an abses (sp) which is not so bad but they took an xray of her tooth and the front tooth needs to be removed - I am so upset over this...
Apparently at some point she must have hit her mouth and the tooth is dying - it looks fine to the eye but the xray shows its decaying and if I dont remove it now could cause probelms later for her adult tooth - but now she will be missing her front tooth untill the adult tooth comes in...
Anyway Just needed to vent I guess - I feel like just a bad mommy right now - i cant believe she is going to have to go thru this...

Re: pulling front tooth
DDs front tooth was knocked out when she was 2yo. I felt the same way as you but now I cant even remember what she looked like with the tooth there. it is cute. Accidents happen dont feel like a bad mommy! I know, easier said than done.

My sister had this, too. No biggie! She had a space maintainer, basically a fake tooth, in there until she started to lose her teeth, and then it was taken out. Don't feel like a bad mommy!

pulling front tooth
Awe don't feel bad. My 2 nephews and 1 niece lost their teeth at 4. The became loose and fell out. So it's that "weird" for a 4 yr old to not have a tooth.
