I went with a stride rite early walking shoe.
I was lucky to get my hands on them when they had a big sale going on

I'm not getting shoes til they walk outside or in public. Idk if it's b/c there are 2 of them to wrangle, but I don't let them loose at stores yet. Its too cold for the park. I put whatever shoes on them to keep their feet warm and no shoes at home. I'll get real walking ones when we go out more in the spring.

Now that my 1 year old DD is walking...
IMO, any shoe that has a flexible sole... Could be stride rite or any other brand as long as you can bend them.

Now that my 1 year old DD is walking...
I did stride rite early walkers and I also got a pair of pedi peds originals. I only put her in them when we were outside because she LOVED walking around and being free.
They say the best thing is no shoes so anytime we were inside they came right off.
