Prenatal vitamins? What is everyone taking?
Hi all!! Dr told me to start taking over the counter prenatal vitamins if we want to ttc. What do you all recommend? Right now I'm taking Folic acid. I was going to take one a day but not sure. Any suggestions? Tia!!

I take the CVS brand. The prenatals have folic acid in them.

Prenatal vitamins? What is everyone taking?
I am taking the Rainbow Light one-a-day prental vitamins and LOVE them. I ordered them off Amazon -- 150 pills per bottle.
Pros
- only have to take one pill a day
- completely food based ingredients
- does not make my stomach upset at all (and I have taken them BEFORE eating breakfast in the AM)
Cons
- the pill is a bit large
I also ordered the Rainbow Light DHA supplements which are supposed to be great for early cognitive development -- these were a bit more expensive and only have 60 pills per bottle but I thought it was worth it given all the great reviews. Unlike other DHA pills I have taken, these are not fishy at ALL and have orange oil in them -- they taste citrusy :)

My RE recommended thera-natal. (http://www.theralogix.com/?fa=products.theranatal.default&dvsn=wmnshealth) No funny taste I my mouth, no nausea, no side effects. Been taking them +1yr and no issues. Before that I took Walgreens brand and they were good too.

I have a lot of trouble with pre-Natalia and burping up fish oil, and that starts me throwing up. My OB recommended Your Life, but also said the trick is to take them at night just before bed.

Prenatal vitamins? What is everyone taking?
I am taking nature made w/ DHA and an additional 400mcg of folic acid.. I was told you need 1mg of folic acid.... the OTC prenatals only have 800mcg; so you technically need 200mcg more...The OTC folic acid only comes in 400 mcg... so I guess tech. Im taking 200 mcg more than needed, but was told it was ok!
The RX my Dr had given me; with insurance was $$$$- it ended up being cheaper to just do it this way!

I take GNC prentals with DHA. I love them! They are capsules so no funny vitamin taste, and no fish burps.

I took the target prenatals, but if I had known about this raw, whole foods based supplement I would have used it:
